A couple of weeks ago now, I got the urge to paint again... I'd been wanting to add Duck and Goose to the walls in some way since Thomas was little. I mentioned it to a friend, showed her the picture and she encouraged me to go for it! So I did!! I was excited with the results, but shockingly, am still not done! The two little friends are still missing their little eyes...
But this painting sparked another project. While we're at it, lets put the boys into one room and make Benjamin's room into a playroom. It'll just take a second... ha!! It took two days!! And with the crazyness of life in the last month+, I've still yet to have the room clean enough to snap a few pictures!! The boys are loving it, and aside for the changes it's made to the sleeping schedule, I'm loving it as well.
Another fun change was the wall over the couch. It sat empty for several months after we rearranged the house, yes again, because I couldn't find anything just right for it. The mirror was my inspiration. I had it over the fireplace, but decided to spray it and move it over the couch, but what to put with it. I wanted some large art, was the original plan. But I lacked the cash and couldn't find anything that I really loved even if I did have the money. Finally, someone suggested a grouping and reminded me of the collection of yellow plates I had. My sister was here for the afternoon, so we ran off to HomeGoods, spent $14 on the white squares you see and were back to my home to see what other goods I had laying around. I was so excited to find several little treasures that could be combined to make this display. There are a few changes I'd like to make to it when time is available, but for now I'm loving!
