Easter

What a sweet group of "Matlock Men" I've been given!  They truly are blessings to me!
I loved celebrating Easter with them and with Jared's parents.  We were able to really focus on the resurrection of Jesus, especially after this study I've been doing with the ladies and Pastor's sermon! That was the real blessing of the day.

But, check out these cutie pies!!

Apparently, Thomas is at the age where he has forgotten how to smile and Benjamin just loves to give a "cheeseburger"smile whenever he sees the camera!

How cute are they!!!! (if only T was looking at the camera...)

Free Legos

Jared has always been a great example of always trusting the Lord with our money. (I mean the Lord's money that He entrusts us with!) Recently, we've been doing a little more of that.  I've seen our grocery budget stretch and make it.  One paycheck period it just seemed to multiply like the Feeding of the 5,000, there was just always enough.  God stretched us and then it was as if He say, "See, you can trust me."

"What does this have to do with Lego's?", I'm sure you are asking by now.  Well, Jared had the day off and we decided to get out of the house for some family fun.  We wandered on down to Ikea and then over to the Sacramento Mall where they had a Lego store.

Before going in we decided Thomas could fill a small bucket with the Lego bins they have on this amazing wall.  It's all sorts of round bins with the Legos separated by shape and color.  They even have ones with the flowers, steering wheels and fancy connectors.  It's so cool!!  Thomas hadn't made it that far because he was fascinated with all the sets.  While looking at one, this couple came up to us with an offer.  They had a coupon they had been given for a box to fill off the lego wall.  They had two of them.  They wanted to GIVE one to each of the boys.  They were so sweet and just wanted to share it. We were so excited!!  I told Jared, "It's like God just handed us free Legos!!"  But seriously, it was such a fun blessing, a cool little gift to be thankful for!!

The boys had a great time walking along the wall picking out the shapes they wanted.  Jared and I sprung for a blue square plate to build on!  We got home and the boys spent the next 3 hours building away!

Jared managed to count the Legos... about 420!!

Pinterest

Have you discovered Pinterest yet?  It's the best and yet it's the worst.  It's more of a time sucker than facebook.  However, at the end of it you get some fun crafts, recipes and some wonderful things for the kids.  (yes, it's still a time sucker that must be managed!!)

Yesterday I was very thankful for pinterest.  The boys spent forever at the kitchen table playing with their pinterest inspired fun!  Thomas was there for almost two hours and I had to make him stop so we could eat dinner.  Benjamin lasted 40 minutes, which is huge for his short time span.  They love the stuff!!

The blue goo is "flubber" that we made about a month ago.  The red is "koolaid playdough" (which smells delicious).
(i'm sorry this one is all wrong... computer issues.  but look at that smile!!)  They discovered how much fun it is to use lego guys to add to the fun.  They made monsters and bad buys and towers and so much more!

It was the perfect moment to watch, enjoy and absorb the little moments and the sweetness of my boys.  Look at how precious they are!! and enjoy the craziness of messy bed hair and explorations that come with my sweet boys.

My Precious Little Ones

I find myself looking at these precious faces and pausing more.  How does time go so quickly?

How is it that the Lord chose to so richly bless me?

Their love blesses me everyday!

Their love for one another fills my heart to overflowing.

Memories

My mom has been cleaning out the house lately and I have been re-united with my baby blankets. My great aunt made me both (I think) and I remember them from the time I was itty bitty. Of course this is mainly just because of pictures. But I do have distinct memories of laying on them playing with my sister. It's fun to now have pictures of me with my baby boys on the one.
