Project in Progress

We are currently working on remodeling our master bathroom. It's a fun process. We've talked about doing it for a long time and gone through many different plans. Thanks to gifts from our parents and our own little savings, we were able to put a budget together and get to work!

This is the bathroom before picture:

About two years ago, we re-painted and hung the pretty chandeliers and put in new faucets, but really everything has needed to go since we moved in. The vanities were just simply ugly and provided us with storage space. The cabinets were about a foot off the floor with ugly MDF board underneath. There was ugly plastic baseboard all around, the lino was stained and nasty and the shower was beyond repair. So, just over a week ago it all came out!! Tear out was a blast and now we are in the middle of replacing it all.

Even Thomas got in on the action!

He helped Jared tear out the baseboard and was quite proud of himself. He helped haul a bunch of stuff out and was ready to do what ever he could.

We found amazing deals on everything we needed. So far we're only at half our budget and we've purchased most of the big stuff!!

I'm excited to share the completed room and also some more pictures of all the work. We've had a bunch of friends help already and the knowledge and hard work of my dad helping us to do it ourselves!
