The girls arrived just after 10 on Saturday, which thankfully gave me just enough time to finish up since I was running late on getting everything done. I picked recipes that I had made before, except for the bacon, and ones that were also easy to prep ahead of time and have done at the same time. So here was the menu,
To Drink ~ Orange Juice, Kona Coffee and Blueberry Organic Tea
For Breakfast I served ~ Slice Strawberries, Scrambled Eggs with mushrooms, avocados, green onions, tomatoes and mozerella cheese, French Toast Casserole and what was suppose to be Brown Sugar Bacon.
Unfortunately, I left the bacon in the oven moments too long, so it was a lovely shade of black... The casserole and the eggs were yummy. The girls were sweet and enjoyed everything and just laughed with me about the smoke filled house.
We had a great time chatting and getting to know them. It was fun to hear them talk about boys, the ones they've dated, are dating and the ones they would like to date. I reminded them life with out boys is just great, they have the rest of their lives to be married. Although, I'm not sure they were completely convinced by that! I had a little gift of stationary for them. I told them that this is what people used before texting, Facebook and email. : )
It was great spending my morning with a group of college girls, even if it did make me realized I'm getting old! I hope to have other people in soon. It sure is fun!!
What is your favorite thing to make when you have company? What little things do you like to do to make it special?
