Christmas with the Matlocks

After our Christmas celebration at home we headed over to Jared's parents where we were joined by his sister and her precious kids. I seriously love these kids!! I've been around since Kailyn was just months old and Drake was 3, it's been great seeing them grow up. I love them all, but Drake always impresses me. He's 13 now and just the kindest, coolest kid. He loves playing with my little guys and so willing to help out with them. It blessed my heart to watch!

As for Christmas, it was great to celebrate with Jared's family. It was the first time we were all together on Christmas Day, so it made it extra special. We had fun playing, opening presents, enjoying a delicious dinner together and then just being together. Christ's love was all around and His blessings were so clear, even though it's been a hard year for all of us, but more on that later!

Here are all the grandkids! I'll have to put up Christmas through the years one of these days. Fun to see how they have all grown. We have from left to right: Aubree, 9, Thomas, 3, Benjamin 5mos, Drake, 13, Kailyn, 10 and Aleeyah, 3.

Then we added in the parentsand then the grandparents.

Here the guys are helping Thomas check out his new ToyStory3 play thing. It's the dumps and you can use the ailens to save Buzz and the other characters. He's had tons of fun with it.
Grandma Matlock doing her favorite thing, playing games with the kids. Aleeyah and Thomas are finally old enough to really have fun with the games and Grandma couldn't be happier!

Now for dessert! Drake is lighting the candles so we could sing happy birthday to Jesus.
My poor sister-in-law is so loved by her kiddos. What better way to celebrate the love of our Heavenly Father than with the family.
