His Big Day

It's not everyday your baby turns 3, so it's something to be celebrated!!
This was the year of no party and just a time to celebrate with family and do something special. So, as you saw, we took him to the beach with Timmy and family. His actual birthday was a Sunday, so we made a special day of that as well! All the grandparents and my sister and her husband came over for lunch. We celebrated Mother's Day, Grandma M's birthday and Thomas', too. Then we had a few friends over for cake and ice cream.

Our Family!
(including baby brother!)

The Birthday Cake
(it was a buzz lightyear celebration)

The Family
we had a wonderful bbq chicken dinner, yum-o!

Present time!!

He received all sorts of outside play things for his birthday. A scooter from my parents, a swing and horse shoe game from J's parents and a bike from us. He's having tons of fun with them all!

Auntie and Thomas together with the cake she made!

Checking out the new bike. He looked like such a big boy!

Yay for Toy Story!! He gathered all his stuff together for a picture. Thank you everyone!! And yes, T got a Woody with a string and a hat, that was all he had asked for the last month or so. Both Woodies he received and their hats go everywhere with us!!

It was definitely fun taking a year off from a party and doing something with the family, but I am excited for a party next year!

PS have to add on that as i typed this Thomas was riding his scooter on the path around the kitchen and he was doing it almost naked. we are in the process of potty training, had he been fully dressed i would have taken a video. it was so cute, when he got off he announced, "I knew it!" with a proud smile on his face. he's growing up!
