Time With Friends

Ok, now for some blogging on our trip down south!!! It was a great trip, filled with special occassions and great memories!

We headed out of town mid-morning on Saturday with Simi Valley as the end goal. We made our first stop in Walnut Creek to meet a new friend Addison Eden. She is precious! She's the daughter of a good friend from high school and little sister to two of the cutest kids in the world. She is a precious little snuggler, who I didn't get any pictures of, which I'm sitting here in disbelief of, so you'll just have to trust me!!

After we left the hospital we got back on the road and began the treck down highway 5. It was a great drive and actually pretty quick considering we had Thomas, who only slept for an hour. We filled the trip with songs and Mickey movies. We stopped for lunch Harris Ranch, (well technically the Subway next to H.R., gotta love $5 foot longs!) Played a quick game of chase and hopped back in the car.

We made it to Simi Valley about 4:00 which left us with some great hang out time with the Bakker family!! What a precious time. The kids had a great time playing and exploring new toys. Their youngest daughter loved having a boy around and their oldest daughter, I think, wasn't too sure about this boy that was playing T-ball with her princess ball and doll. We went out for a leisurily dinner in the SoCal heat, watched the kids play by the fountain and then made it home for baths and beds. We got to stay up and chat with Erin and Jordan. I told Jared as we went to bed that I just love being around them for so many reasons, but always because we just pick up where we left off!

The next morning was Mother's Day! We were off to church with the Bakker's, a quick bit for lunch, naptime and then to Grace Community for Graduation!
