What a day of rejoicing! The Easter service at church was great! Pastor Jon preached a wonderful message, encouraging and left us thinking. Really helped to focus the day! It began at home with our own little hunt and getting ready for church. I loved the outfit we had picked out for Thomas, he did not. We got the sweater vest on and it was met with tears and he tried to take it off. Thankfully we were able to distract him with his new shoes. The boy loves shoes! We left right from church and went to my parents for a yummy Easter dinner and some fun in the sun. Thomas enjoyed laughing with everyone and his egg hunt in the front yard. Thomas had us cracking up at dinner with his animal sounds and chatter. He's not going to know what to do when he is no longer the only grandchild (don't get excited, there's no immediate threat, well joy to us, threat to him.. you know what I mean) The weather was beautiful, so beautiful that we couldn't resist the pool! Thomas wanted to check out the goose, this meant sitting by the pool and splashing. Eventually, Thomas and I, Easter clothes and all, waded around in the"beach area" (it's ankle to knee deep). It was an absolute blast!
Thank you Lord for your sacrifice, mercy and grace. May we remember it everyday.
