The Easter Bunny

This last weekend Thomas and I hung out at my parents house. Jared was at a Men's Retreat, so T & I had our own get-a-way. It was great! My parents had a blast playing with Thomas and I didn't have to be fully on mommy-duty. I had a chance to run some errands without chasing after a 1 year old. Jared joined us Saturday night and then he headed back home Sunday evening and T & I stayed one more night. I still hadn't been to the mall, so figured that was enough reason to stay again... sounded good to me! Well, while we were there, we got to go to story time and Thomas got to meet the Easter Bunny. He made a special appearance at the end of the story time. Thomas was sitting at the outskirts and since his auntie works there and knew he was coming, he got the first chance to meet him. I was afraid he would scream and cry, setting off the rest of the kids. Instead, he saw him coming and his face lite-up with the biggest smile. He walked right over, shared his tiger and shook his hand. Pretty sweet. He hung out and watch the bunny interact with the other kids and even went up to say hello again. I guess it could've been the chocolate he was after... Anyhow, it was a great weekend for both of us and for my parents as well.
