Nothing Like A Garage Sale

There's nothing like a garage sale to get the house cleaned out! We had a stack of stuff that kept getting bigger and bigger waiting for the next garage sale and we finally had a sunny day to spread it out. I spent Friday going through the rest of the house finding all sorts of things that had not been used since we moved in, so out they went!! It's a great feeling to get rid of things! The sale also prompted a new project, getting rid of the pellet stove!! It was pretty ugly and just not being used. Thankfully some friends were participating in the sale as well and he was willing to help Jared get the beast out of the house and out onto the lawn. It was well worth the work, we sold it!! Just as the sale was starting we recieved our 3rd phone call and a man was coming to get it. We sold it for $100, which was great because it's going to cost about that to make the area pretty again... oh well.

During the sale Thomas and Nathan had a great time playing with cars and exploring the sales items. Thomas managed to sneak away with two donuts!! Towards the end they started getting ancy so we pulled out Bailey's bed (yes, the dog bed), the portable DVD player and set them up with some snacks and a movie. They loved it!
