Christmas Day at Our House (Part 3)

It's hard to believe Christmas has come and gone already and we're on our way to 2009. Christmas Eve Jared was able to come home a little early and the celebration began. We had popcorn and watched Polar Express. Then headed over to Target with everyone else in Vacaville. It was a surprisingly fast trip and we were on our way back home with some toy bins for Thomas. I made Jared's favorite, prawns & pasta, for dinner It was a great night.
Christmas day was a relaxing day. We opened presents as soon as Thomas woke up and had a nice breakfast. Well, the eggs and bacon were good, my cinammon rolls, not so much. I'm determined to have a tradition of homemade cinammon rolls on Christmas morning, but have yet to have success!! The presents, however, were a success. Both Thomas and Jared got a drill and a few other tools. Thomas got some books and toy cars that are now all over the house. After presents, we re-organized Thomas' room. It's official, he's no longer a baby. The changing table is gone and replaced with a toy organizer. No longer has a glider, but a bookshelf. It looks much neater in there as well as the office area. We managed to get all of the toys out of the living room and they all have a home in his room.

(this is the "00000" expression. I noticed i kept saying woooo, or oooo and Thomas picked up on this that morning, pretty cute!!)

(Checking out his new Elmo computer)

Later in the day we had my mom & grandma over for lunch. This too was a nice and cozy time. Grandma Stansberry's Calico Beans, baked potatoes followed by an Apple Pie. Unfortunately, now one thought to take a picture of the whole group, just like the Saturday celebration. (As cute as Thomas is I do wish I would have taken pictures of other people!!)We ended the day and looked at Christmas lights and the day was done. It was probably the quietest Christmas ever, just the gift we needed!! It allowed for some needed rest and a time of appreciation of the Lord's gift.
