I am a happy dishwashing woman!! I never thought I would be that, but this week I have been!! We moved into our house just over a year ago and I was bestowed one of the grossest, smallest kitchen sinks I've ever seen. No matter how much I scrubbed, the dinginess never left. I missed my old sink. I had a huge, single tub, stainless steal sink with a grinder that could destroy anything you gave it (well, anything but rice... opps!). We moved in here and I had the white porcelin sink that had been worn down, chipped and was shallow and split in half. I figured it was something I would get over, who was I to complain with the blessings of a house. At least I had my own sink to do the dishes in!! Well, I did get over it and it worked, but then my mom brought it up again recently and it started bugging me. After all it was someone elses stains and the grinder was making a horrible noise that shook the whole house. It sounded like an angry monster.
Jared's response was, "oh know, here comes a project for me..." with a smile on his face and laughter in his voice. My dad thought, "oh goodie! a project! We could do this... or this..." And in they came to my rescue!! I was gone for the day and when I got home I found the old sink on the front lawn and the new beauty installed with another grinder that can once again eat anything!! I love it!!! Once again I'm thanking the Lord for a husband that is willing to crawl under the sink for me, learn something new and a Dad who is always willing to conquer any project. I haven't found one they couldn't do! : )
I now stand at my sink a little happier to be doing the dishes!

Even Thomas likes the new sink, maybe he can start dish duty now....

In the garbage where it belongs! Think the trashman will take it?
