Mom's Group

I have the joy of hosting a mom's group in my home. We meet twice a month for just over an hour. The kids get to run around in the backyard with a few jr. high gals and the mom's get to meet together. We share tips on mommy things and home things, share recipes and have a devotion time together. Our focus this year is Proverbs 22: 6, "train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." We're learning the importance of intentionallly teaching our children Godly character traits according to what the Bible says, and actively showing them. On the second meeting of the month we have a more "hands-on" lesson. Last time we did projects with sponge stamping and apple dipping. Tomorrow we'll be talking about meal planning and how to save money at the grocery store. It's been such a great ministry to be a part of and to learn from. We have an awesome group of mom's!! I'm hoping to put a summary of our meetings up as well as the verses we are learning. We memorize a verse for every meeting and have the challenge of reciting it to another mom!! We'll see how it goes. Our verse for tomorrow is... (I'm peeking...)
