He Loves His Food

Benjamin has entered the world of food and is enjoying it quite a bit! We started with rice cereal, just as you are suppose to, which he wasn't a huge fan of. But I think he enjoyed something new.

Yes, I feed my child in his exersaucer, pretty sure that's not ideal. This was his first try of sweet potatoes, real food, no more cereal. He was pretty excited! He even tried some real ones on Thanksgiving. He's a fan! He's enjoyed everything we've given him since then. Even peas, which totally gross me out!

Here he is enjoying his big boy seat. Yes, I do feed him here and not in the exersaucer, that was just the one time really. He loves his highchair and will sit in it while we eat or even while I'm making dinner. It's been lots of fun! Now if only his teeth would come in, he could have so much more fun!! I swear he's been teething for weeks, we're already for those guys to pop on out!!

A Few of B's Firsts

We're enjoying becoming a family of four and have managed to have a little fun outside and inside the house as we are adjusting. Benjamin's weight loss got to be a little too much for the dr's so we had to check back in on Monday. Found out he had lost a little more, so they sent us home with the assignment of getting half an ounce by the following morning. Home we went and packed in as many feedings as we could handle. Tuesday morning he not only made the goal, but actually had gained 2 ounces!! This called for a celebration!! We let Thomas pick, so of course we went to Target to see the Buzz's. His all time favorite thing to do! We made it home and slept the rest of the day. After all, I was only 5 days post-op and we have a new born!!

Benjamin's first bath!

Thomas was so excited to help out. He's such a big helper!!

Thomas took this picture. He's having fun taking as many pictures as we let him.

First Trip to the Movies

Some friends filled me in on the greatest secret ever! Regal theaters offers free movies during the summer, that's right, FREE!! Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10am they play a G and a PG movie between 4 screens. So off we headed for Thomas' first movie, Horton Hears a Who. Since it was his first movie, I splurged on popcorn and a soda. Thomas couldn't believe it when he saw it. He was so excited to sit down and see the movie, just so he could eat the popcorn. He hoped right up into his chair and made himself comfortable. We were surrounded by tons of people and in a row with some friends. He managed to sit still for most of the movie. He did so well we even ventured back last week for Kung Fu Panda. He was so excited. Two more weeks and then we'll be waiting for next summer!
