Thomas is becoming more and more a boy and less a little kid. so much so, he informed me that he is no longer a kid. He had a show he wanted to watch the other day and informed me it was ok to watch because, "i'm not a kid anymore." with a completely serious and matter-of-fact look on his face.
then today we had quite the interesting coverstation. brace yourselves, it involves body parts!! I was doing the dishes, benjamin was napping and Thomas was hanging out at the table playing angry birds. he always asks me to play with him or do things for him and i always reply, "thomas, i'm just not very good at it."
today he asked my why i wasn't very good at angry birds.
i responded, "well, i'm just not." explaining that i don't play it much and just can't get the angle thing down. informing him that i know what i'm supposed to do, i'm just not good at it. i ended with we all have different things that we're good at.
his response?
"is it because i have a wee-wee and you don't?" with just a little smirk!!
i snickered (not bursting out like i wanted to, lest this become a re-occurring conversation).
"no, thomas, i don't think that's it." and quickly ended the conversation.
but who knows! maybe he's onto something?
