Let the Mt. Hermon Stories Begin

We've been back from vacation for a couple weeks now and I think I'm ready to start posting some fun blogs!!

We had a GREAT week of fun exploring and enjoying Mt. Hermon and hanging out with family. We squeezed in so much fun to one fast week. I spent the week before packing, doing laundry and baking and cooking meals. I had all sorts of yummy treats ready to be enjoyed and several meals planned and ready to go.

We came home from church, loaded up the back of the truck (we had way to much stuff to fit in the back of the Pilot) and joined in the trip south with Jared's sister. We took one short detour through San Jose to see my cousin and we were at the cabin by 5:00 that evening.

When the truck was unloaded, I realized that none of the meals I had prepared were defrosted, so off we went to pizza. It was vacation after all, time to be flexible.

Monday morning everyone woke up ready to go and fill the day with fun!! The first thing on the list after lunch (the morning was filled with day camp for the kids and meetings for the adults. this week was hosted by Dallas Seminary and they brought in some great speakers) was climbing the wall. This was Thomas' first year to participate in this activity. He wasn't so sure about it!

Here he is on the practice wall. He did pretty good, but certainly wasn't sure it was so fun.
Aleeyah loved it! She's the same age as Thomas, but with older siblings, much more adventurous.

A even wanted to climb the big wall!
Here she is with her older sister climbing the extra high side.

Thomas gave it a good shot, but didn't get too far. He wanted Daddy to do it with him, but didn't understand that Daddy couldn't get to him with all the ropes. I was proud of him for trying.

Lots more stories to come!
