Father's Day

I had extra fun this year putting together a Father's Day celebration. We had my parents, Jared's parents and his sister and her family over. My sister wasn't able to make it. We would get together for some quality family time and eat an early dinner with the theme of Father's Favorites. It was so much fun planning it all out.

Here was the menu:

For Dad M: Szechaun Beef (his favorite at a restaurant near their old house)

Dad S: Sushi!!

Jared: Sushi!!

We added in fresh fruit, a favorite for all, Chinese Noodles and Green Beans to round it all off.

It was a hit. The Beef is definitely a work in progress, but the flavor was great. You see, this restaurant makes their beef like none of the other restaurants we've been too. I'm determined to figure it out. I can't find a recipe because it's all their own. I will continue to try!

Anyhow, here's a picture of most of us after the meal. We then just got to hang out and listen to the kiddos have all sorts of fun together.

The following day, we ended up in Fremont with my parents to see my grandma and her sister who is in town visiting. She hadn't ever met my boys, so it was extra fun to get to see her.

After we headed to Jack London Square for a really nice seafood dinner with my parents. Thomas wanted to order fish tounge and was a little disappointed when he found out I was just kidding and it really isn't on the menu. However, he loved his french fries and tastes of what everyone else got. Benjamin loved his fish and garlic mash potatoes (which he shared with me). It was extra special.
