A couple of years ago, my sister and her husband bought Thomas a piggy bank for his birthday. Thomas now is a big fan of this little guy. He loves to find change lying around and put it in his pig. He, unfortunately, got in the habit of taking it off the shelf and bring it out to the front room. The pig would become part of his play simply by sitting there and watching.
Well, the pig apparently became quite full and heavy and met his demise. Thomas turned down the hall and I heard a loud splat and change falling followed by a desperately screaming and crying 3 year old. Thomas was absolutely heart broken and the pig was in pieces. I wanted to remind him that that is why you listen to mommy or I told you so, but the tears and the heart break kept my mouth shut.
He desperately asked me to fix him. I was sure it was impossible, but how could I not at least try.
Here we are attempting to put him back together and Thomas trying to put on a sad face for the camera.
I did manage to get him put together with a few little pieces missing. However, I wouldn't trust him to hold any money. We are now looking for a plastic one!
