The Baby Kicked
We're trying to get Thomas to talk to the baby occasionally. He doesn't say much, mainly just answers my questions. Tonight he told the baby his name, how old he is and his favorite food and then he patted my belly. It was pretty sweet. We talk about the baby moving and kicking and he seems pretty amazed at times and other times pre-occupied. Tonight though he was willing to put his hand on my belly and wait for a kick. Sure enough, the timing was right and he got a good bump!! It was pretty cool. It was like baby knew it was Thomas and knew just where to kick. Thomas just looked at me a little confused and wondering if that really was a baby in there. I told him that was his brother giving him a big high five. He seemed to think that was pretty cool and even wanted to see if he could feel him again. He put his hand on again. I told him, "Say hi to ***" and thought about it for a second and responded with, "Hi, Alex." *** is the name Jared and I like, but haven't officially decided on. Alex is the name Thomas has apparently decided on for the baby. We couldn't believe that he changed it without a second thought.

what a precious moment! soon that little guy will be out and giving thomas a high five for real. so....will you be sharing the name when you commit to one? just wondering. no pressure to reveal...just curious.
I'm not sure if we'll be sharing... i keep going back and forth on that one. i think we probably will, if we ever make up our minds enough to share! i don't know why this one is so much harder. i was thinking about taking a poll!!
