gymnastics class

We started gymnastics class this week and oh what fun it was!! He wasn't so sure at first, but went along with what he was asked to do. For his age group it's still parent participation, which is lots of fun. It should get interesting as the belly grows!

The first thing was going from line to line walking, hoping or jumping a certain way. He wasn't up for that, I asked him if he was crabby, he just smiled. Later they had a course to walk through. When I asked him to do a somersault he said, "no, i'm just crabby." Well, eventually he did his somersault. He loved walking across the beams, crawling through the tunnel and across the shapes of the course, but his favorite was the foam pit.

He crawled in at first and was content to watch the other kids jump in and even jump in off the trampoline. He wanted nothing to do with those, "they're too scary." After awhile he got brave and was jumping off the wall and eventually the trampoline (it was pretty high). He had so much fun he didn't want to leave. I think he'll be ready to go back next week!! (when i'll take the real camera and get more pictures)

Coming soon: Pictures and stories about Thomas with his new "friend." I just asked him to take a picture with "friend" and his response was, "Once upon a time I will do it, but not right now." Hmm, that kid!
