4th of July

This year's festivities took place in Lincoln, CA where my sister and her husband live. They were having a good old fashioned neighborhood BBQ/fireworks type of celebration and when it

comes to the 4th of July, I'm all about the old fashioned!So, when Mr. Thomas woke up early,

we dragged ourselves out of bed, threw someclothes in asuitcase, grabbed our swimsuits and got on the road. We were in Roseville by 9:00 and headed over to my parents for some time in the pool! We had our own bbq for lunch, swam some more and then were joined by our good friends Scott and Jen for more time in the pool!

Later in the afternoon, we drug ourselves out of the water, loaded up the party supplies, chairs and sound system and faced the heat in Lincoln (it was sunny and hot, as proved by Jared's sunburn!). We joined the families from the neighborhood and their families for some good food and waited for the sun to go down so we could start the fireworks!
