Christmas is upon us and our Christmas traditions are somewhat like our cultures. some of those traditions include presents, decoration, and food.
First, exchanging presents is probably one of the most common traditions. mostly the rest of the world believes in getting a large number of presents. our family however, believes it is better to give that to receive, although we do usually get a great amount of presents. with the attitude of giving, it is easier not to be greedy.
Secondly, decorations are an important part of Christmas are an important part of Christmas. the tree is probably the most common decoration in our country. mostly our family doesn't decorate a whole lot, but my dad's mom decorates the most in our family. our city is mostly decorated a great deal for Christmas. even though it doesn't snow here, it is still very pretty.
Lastly, food is one of my favorite Christmas traditions. one thing we do every year is make sugar cookies. they taste soooo delectable all iced and decorated in red hots and M n M's. further more, every year on Christmas day we have ham, turkey, and many other delicious foods. we usually have a Christmas lunch with these foods at my mom's, mom's house.
All of these traditions are important to our family. Big or small, they all make Christmas brighter and cheerier. Christmas is my all-time favorite holiday, and it's almost here.

Great essay! The thesis is well written and the paper flows smoothly. I liked how he touched on common traditions as well as what his own family does during Christmas time. Good job!!
