Once upon a time there was a boy. The boy had a truck, a truck that he loved very much. It was black and all boy. It was big, it was tough and it carried all sorts of great things and it looked good in dirt.
One day the boy and the truck left home and went to college. The truck was happy because it got to go with the boy and carry all his stuff for him. They were off to a great start out on their own. Then, the boy met a girl. The truck was happy because he got to take them many fun places. He saw them as they dated, got married and then found out they were going to have a baby.
By now the truck was getting even older, running slower and drinking more gas than he used to. The boy took it to the doctor and found out he was pretty sick, it was time for him to retire. The boy and the truck were very sad to part, but the boy loved the girl and knew she wouldn't be happy with the baby riding in the old truck. So, the boy said good bye to his friend, the truck and hello to a not-so-tough SUV. The boy missed the truck and thought of him often. But he made do with his SUV.
One day, the girl, who loved the boy very much, said, "it's time." She said it was time for the boy to get a truck!! So now the boy has a new friend. A tough white truck. It's big, it's tough, it hauls lots of stuff and someday, it will look good in dirt. Now the one thing this truck has that the other one did not is a back seat, one that fits the whole family. After all, the boy loves the girl and his little boy, too.
Goodbye Pathfinder and hello Ford!!

Cute story! Boys and their toys! Which reminds me...thanks for lending me the riding zebra for Nathan. He loves it, and it was a big hit with the cousins at his party. Congrats to Jared for being reunited with his (new) truck.
Only a loving wife could write such sugery words. hehehehehehe! I am glad Jared has his own truck again. (maybe he will stop looking at mine in that funny longing manner)!!
