Thomas has always been all boy. He loves to play in the dirt and eat the dirt. He's always picked up a stick and poked things. He knows how to make great car noises. He loves to run and climb and do all things with umph and loudness (is that a word?). It's something that has always been amusing to me as a mother and not growing up with a brother, so I didn't really witness these things first hand. All his boy things have been boy-ish, but recently it's been more so it seems. He has been laughing when he passes gas, wrestling with anyone on the floor and yesturday he said "ewww" when he was hugged by a girl. Over the weekend I had made a comment to a friend that his testosterone hadn't kicked in yet and he's not really wrestling. Not 5 minutes later he's in the living room trying to pull over her 5 year old daughter (thankfully she has a little brother, so this is something she's use to). Yesturday I met some friends for lunch and Thomas was polite through the whole meal (well not really, he wanted to stand and look at the neighbors or play with the salt the whole time, what a workout!) and then afterwards Hannah gave him a hug good bye, he leaned in and then stepped away right after shoook his arms and said "ewww!" Then at dinner last night, he was totally flirting with the waitress! We've got some work to do before he's of dating age!! But first, we can't wait to see what else is in store!!!
