a funny little moment

Thomas loves to vacuum or do anything that closely resembles vacuuming. When the big vac is out he holds on to the pole, pushes it forwards and beeps as we back up. If the swiffer is out, he takes over. If the broom is out, he grabs it and goes to town. Now, remember, he isn't quite 17 months yet, so he is not so efficient at this job, but truly enjoys it. The other day he was playing with dried rice while I was cooking dinner. He was enjoying feeling it, pouring it from cup to cup and spilling it on the tray. All was great until he discovered how much fun it was to sweep it with his hand and listen to the great sound it makes as it hit the ground!! Oh what fun that was!! In mere seconds he had it all over that little corner of the kitchen. I finally got the tray away from him and pulled out the vacuum, well now there was a new game to play!! He came right over, took the vacuum out of my hands and went to town for close to 10 minutes. It was pretty funny!!

He sure is fun!! Be sure to listen to his humming as he cleans and all the funny noises he makes! He gets distracted at the end, but after a little playtime with the rock, he goes right back to work...
