Apple Hill

I'm am way more sentimental than I ever knew. Yesterday, Thomas, our friend Jen & I went up to the beautiful mountains and to the apples! It was gorgeous (and freezing). I laughed at myself when I got home and realized I bought the same things I buy every year. The same apples, apple cider, apple pie, mulling spices and a Carmel-fudge apple. I even bought a fritter when the strudel looked better, simply because that's what I always get. However, since Jen had never been up there and I had never been the navigator, we made our way through the entire area and stopped several new places. We found a place that sure to become a favorite. There Thomas got to pet some farm animals, and I bought a pie next door at Grandpa's Cellar. The best moment was at High Hill, it snowed!! The ladies at the cash register said it best, I'm a "California girl" when I asked if that was really snow. We looked out of the High Hill store and I asked Jen if that light rain was really snow, and it was!! The time in the flurries of snow, buying apples, freezing and trying to get Thomas more excited about the snow than his crackers, is a memory that moved to the top of the list of Apple Hill memories! Thanks Jen for sharing them with us!!

There was snow, I promise!! You can see some of the flakes on my sweatshirt, and just look how happy Thomas is about it!!
